Homeless veterans honored in Las Vegas at Texas Station

CREATED Aug. 13, 2013

Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Not long ago, they were homeless, but on Tuesday, they were honored for turning their lives around.

U.S. Vets is a place veterans without a home can go to get the life skills and resources to make a change.

On Tuesday at Texas Station, many of them wore caps and gowns to celebrate completing the back to work program.

They're now living in their own housing.

U.S. Vets here in the Valley has served more than 4,000 homeless veterans since 2001.
