Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The ongoing government shutdown means Lake Mead National Recreation Area is still closed.
However, it appears that people are still roaming around the property.
Apparently a few people were warned to leave, only to return the next day.
12 citations have been issued by the National Park Service, 10 of them going to bicyclists and hikers this past weekend.
Each citation carries a $125 fine.
