Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A 43-year-old Henderson man was struck and killed by a vehicle early Sunday morning.

It happened around 2:50 a.m. on Flamingo Road, just east of Euclid Street.

Las Vegas police said a 2005 Nissan pickup was traveling east on Flamingo. Victorino Castro Martin Jr. was crossing Flamingo, not in a marked crosswalk.

As the Nissan crossed through the Flamingo and Euclid intersection, Martin stepped off the median, and fell into a travel lane where he was struck by the Nissan.

He was pronounced dead by medical personnel.

The three people in the Nissan were not hurt.

This was the 55th traffic-related fatality in LVMPD's jurisdiction in 2013.
