Helldorado Rodeo announces 2014 dates, new location
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The annual Helldorado Rodeo, which is held each year in downtown Las Vegas, has announced dates for 2014 and a new location.
The event will take place May 14 through 18. It will also be moving to an empty lot behind The Smith Center for the Performing Arts.
In addition, the Nevada 150 Commission has designated the rodeo as an official event for the Nevada Sesquicentennial Celebration.
The rodeo and carnival grounds will be in the surround area of the north east corner of Symphony Park Avenue and Grand Central Parkway.
The annual parade will take place at 5 p.m. may 17 on Fourth Street between Hoover and Stewart Avenues.
Helldorado Days is an annual cowboy-themed outdoor charitable festival and tribute to the Wild West and offers a four-day pro rodeo, parade, carnival, whiskerino contest, poker tournament, golf tournament, art show and auction, trail ride, exhibits, food and more.
Profits from the event’s festivities are donated to local organizations benefiting youth, health and veterans. Donations include; educational resources, a large dictionary donation event, scholarships, drug awareness, youth activities and veteran health and aide services.
