Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The HOA at the Atrium Gardens Condominium complex in east Las Vegas said nearly two-thirds of its residents can now return to their homes following Friday's severe thunderstorm.
NV Energy can restore power to the complex, but residents must be present to receive service from Southwest Gas.
The gas company left notices on doors, but many of the displaced residents are staying with friends and family, and may not realize their presence is necessary.
Jose Ramires is one of those giving shelter to relatives, "Basically, they can stay with us during the night because there's no AC or anything."
The HOA contacted Action News for help getting the word out to displaced residents.
They hope to have downed trees and debris cleared up by the end of the week, but residents can't move back into damaged condos until they get the "all clear" from a building inspector.
