Boulder City, NV (KTNV) -- With Lake Mead still closed as a result of the government shutdown, business owners in Boulder City now fear their peak season may turn out to be a bust.
Todd Cook, owner and brewer of Boulder Dam Brewing Company said this is usually the busiest time of year for him, but his sales have taken a hit because of the government shutdown, and resulting closure of the lake.
Cook usually depends on boaters to stop by for his go-to brews but with no boats in the lake, means no bottles sold.
