Generous donations still coming in to support victims' families

Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The community continues to come together to help the families of Officers Alyn Beck and Igor Soldo, and Joseph Wilcox.

As of Wednesday, money raised so far was well over $350,000. In addition, two local businesses stepped forward to offer more financial help.

Sheriff Doug Gillespie and members of the Injured Police Officers Fund gathered to accept two generous donations.

The CEO of Yellow Checker Star Cab, Gene Auffert, presented a check for $10,000, and the owner of Freed's Bakery, Max Jacobson-Fried, handed more than $35,000 following a week of successful cupcake sales.

IPOF President Richard Golgart said the outpouring of support has not only helped the family through their grief, but it's brought the community closer to the police force.

The IPOF will be accepting donations for a total of 90 days.
