Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Friends, family and students will gather Monday to remember Aylssa Otremba.
She was the 15-year-old student at Arbor View High School that was murdered two years ago.
Police said 19-year-old Javier Righetti raped and murdered Otremba in an empty lot near Osa Blanca Road in the Centennial Hills area.
Righetti is accused of stabbing Otremba 80 times and then setting her body on fire to hide the evidence.
Righetti may have also been involved in other attacks prior to the murder of Otremba.
Righetti has pled not guilty and is still waiting to go to trial. The district attorney's office is planning on seeking the death penalty.
The gathering is scheduled to start at 6 p.m. Monday at a park at the end of Satin Carnation Lane, near Osa Blanca Road and Grand Teton Drive.
A moment of silence will be observed at 7 p.m.
