Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The Las Vegas City Council is trying to crack down on underage drinking on the Fremont Street Experience.
Council members approved a six-month moratorium on Wednesday on accepting applications to sell closed containers of alcohol under the canopy of the Fremont Street Experience.
The vote will not affect current licenses, but new ones will not be issued for 180 days.
Council members will use the six-months to look into how adding more liquor stores would impact crime and consumption.
