Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The popular local restaurant that was closed temporarily after almost 300 people became sick from eating chorizo is celebrating its 10th anniversary tonight.
Firefly Tapas Kitchen & Bar on Paradise Road will treat its guests to free tapas, sangria and entertainment from 6 to 9 p.m. during their anniversary party.
In addition, Firefly will donate five percent of all proceeds for the month of August from its Sahara, Eastern and Paradise locations to The Children's Free Clinic of Southern Nevada.
The completely free clinic provides a variety of services including routine exams, immunizations, vision screenings, lab services, prescription medicines and more.
Representatives from the clinic will be at the anniversary celebration to explain their services and accept donations.
Firefly closed its original location on Paradise after the outbreak and reopened on Paradise a short distance away.
Firefly says that the move was planned before the outbreak.
