Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Fire restrictions have been lifted at Lake Mead due to the weather cooling down.
However, campers who are headed to Lake Mead are encouraged to check with campgrounds to see if they need a permit for lighting campfires in particular areas.
Also, be sure that you are only cutting wood from designated areas.
Saturday marks National Public Lands Day, and the recreational area is waving entrance fees.
Volunteers will be out and about to help keep things clean and maintain the area, so that the public can enjoy the outdoors hassle free.
Death Valley National park will also offer free entry Saturday as well.
