Sentencing pushed back for father convicted of child neglect

By Rebecca Lewis. CREATED Jul 31, 2014

Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Francisco Vidal will soon receive his sentence.

He's the man who fell asleep watching his daughter and she wandered away. The 2-year-old was eventually found in a neighbor's pool. She later died.

Vidal was convicted of child neglect in connection to her death.

He was scheduled to be sentenced on July 31, but that was pushed back to Oct. 2 due to a competency issue.
