Henderson, NV (KTNV) -- Ethel M Chocolates has started stringing more than 500,000 holiday lights in preparation for its 20th annual Holiday Cactus Garden.
The attraction covers more than three-acres and features more than 300 species of plant life.
The stringing of the lights is expected to be completed around Nov. 12.
Approximately 40-percent of the light display will be energy efficient LED lights. A variety of "meteor lights" will be installed that when viewed through 3D glasses look like falling snowflakes.
The Holiday Cactus Garden is a free holiday tradition for Southern Nevada, which will be open to the public Nov. 13 through Jan. 1.
The light display is being put in place under the direction of Botanical Garden Custodian, Steve Bowdoin.
Ethel M Chocolate Factory & Cactus Garden is located at 2 Cactus Garden Drive in Henderson.
