Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- It's an anniversary this weekend for one of the chimpanzees that escaped from its cage in Las Vegas last summer.
Saturday marks one-year since CJ the chimp arrived at a sanctuary in Oregon.
Last summer, chimps CJ and Buddy escaped from their cages in a northwest Las Vegas neighborhood.
Buddy was shot and killed.
According to the Chimps Incorporated website, CJ is doing well and is often seen lounging under the canopy of trees and enjoying life as a chimp.
