Employees swiping office supplies from work becoming big problem

New York (KTNV) -- It can be tempting. Need some new pens at home, or a new pad of paper? Why not just swipe one from the office?

Turns out, a lot of people are doing just that and not realizing they're stealing.

A recent study by security firm, Kessler, found 95-percent of employees are pocketing their employers goods.

That includes everything from office supplies to forging expense accounts, and even raiding the fridge.

Something many people don't even think about, is stealing time. If you spend hours online at work, surfing Facebook or Twitter, or even doing some online shopping, some professions consider that stealing.

Many companies won't fire you for taking a pen here and there, but it is becoming a major problem.

Globally, employee stealing is costing companies upwards of $3.5 trillion.
