Henderson, NV (KTNV) -- Henderson police are investigating an attack on a special needs teenager after he was robbed and attacked just blocks from his home.
It wasn’t the welcoming Jeffrey Ford and his parents had hoped for, having moved to the neighborhood near Warm Springs and Green Valley Parkway just last week.
"They told me they were going to pull a gun on me if I don't give them my stuff," said Ford.
Jeff, who is developmentally disabled, said he was trying to familiarize himself with his new surroundings when two men robbed him, beat him and threatened him with a gun.
"He had blood all on his face, he had cuts defensive wounds on his hands," said his mother, Tonia Bissell.
The attackers managed to split the 16-year-old’s lips and bend his glasses before stealing some of his apparel and electronics.
Henderson police would only confirm they are investigating, but they did not release a description of the suspects.
