Coroner identifies woman killed in North Las Vegas crash on Monday
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The Clark County coroner has identified the woman killed in a North Las Vegas crash on Monday as 26-year-old Amelia McCurdy from Las Vegas.
According to police, McCurdy was driving at a high rate of speed when she lost control of her car and crashed into a brick wall.
The crash happened on West Lake Mead Boulevard, just east of Simmons Street.
McCurdy was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Alcohol may have also been a factor in the crash.
McCurdy's death was the 10th traffic-related fatality in North Las Vegas this year.
