Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The Clark County coroner has identified the man killed after a police chase as 31-year-old Danny Wadsworth, Jr.
The fatal shooting took place on Friday near Las Vegas Boulevard and Sahara Avenue. Police said Wadsworth robbed two females at Town Square.
A police chase followed and Wadsworth began shooting at them. Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department officers returned fire and he was killed.
The names of the police officers involved were also released Monday morning. The two officers involved in the shooting are 45-year-old Jeffrey Gentry and 27-year-old Bryce Martines.
Gentry has been employed by LVMPD since January 1999. Martines has been a police officer since 2008.
Both officers are assigned to the South Central Area Command Patrol Division. They are currently on paid administrative leave pending outcome of investigation into shooting.
