Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The Clark County coroner has identified the bicyclist who was hit and killed on Friday as 41-year-old Cesar Augusto Flores of Las Vegas.
The incident happened at about 4:20 p.m. July 25 near Las Vegas Boulevard South and East Pyle Avenue, near East Silverado Ranch Boulevard.
The woman who hit the bicyclist tried to blame a gust of wind. She claimed that it caused her vehicle to go off the road.
After hitting Flores, the woman continued driving for about 100 feet with Flores on the hood of her vehicle. He eventually fell off.
The driver failed a field sobriety test. She was placed under arrest and transported to Clark County Detention Center.
