CREATED Oct. 1, 2013

Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The Clark County coroner has identified the 17-year-old motorcyclist killed in northwest Las Vegas on Monday as Brendan Rocheleau from Las Vegas.

Police say that Rocheleau was traveling west on Ann Road when he struck a 2011 Nissan Rogue driven by a 16-year-old girl at the intersection with Grand Canyon Drive.

Rocheleau was thrown from his 2003 Kawasaki Z1000 and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The impact caused the Nissan to roll over onto the driver's side. The driver of the Nissan was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.

Rocheleau's death was the 69th traffic-related fatality for Las Vegas this year.

The crash remains under investigation.
