Coroner IDs 2nd victim found at Henderson fire
HENDERSON, Nev. (AP) -- Authorities have identified the second person found dead after a house fire in Henderson last week.
Clark County coroner's officials say 67-year-old Ralph Eugene Griffin was found dead early Tuesday morning inside the house on Armstrong Circle. They say 88-year-old Donna Louise Griffin was also killed.
Authorities say a citizen driving by the house alerted them to flames about 2:30 in the morning. Crews say they were able to put the fire out in a matter of minutes.
Investigators say the fire started in the living room, but haven't released an exact cause.
Henderson spokeswoman Kathleen Richards says the house is located in an older part of town, near Burkholder Boulevard and Center Street. Damage was estimated at $50,000.
