New York (KTNV) -- Consumer Reports released its annual report on the best and worst cell phone service providers.
Last year, the survey had Verizon listed in the No. 1 spot and the provider held onto that spot again. Verizon received high marks for data service and customer support.
What has changed in the Consumer Reports survey of more than 58,000 cell users, were the rankings below first place.
"Sprint, which used to be in years past second or third, plummeted all the way to the bottom. T-Mobile is now two," said Glenn Derene.
AT&T, which had previously been in last place among the major carriers, is now in third place.
The survey found customers rated no contract and prepaid services from smaller companies much higher in customer service satisfaction, than the major standard cell phone providers.
