Henderson, NV (KTNV) -- More than one year after ground broke on a planned water park in Henderson, the project appeared to be dead in the water.
But now Cowabunga Bay is an active construction site once again.
Construction halted in May 2013, the same month competitor Wet 'n' Wild opened in the southwest valley.
Cowabunga Bay said after securing some new investors, work has resumed on the park's 25 rides and attractions including a lazy river and a wave pool.
"It's exciting. I'm so excited to be back on this project and have it going full swing again," said Shane Huish, park manager.
On March 3, the park will begin accepting applications for 350 seasonal positions.
Cowabunga Bay is set to open May 24. It's located near Galleria and Gibson.
