Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- It won't be long before downtown Las Vegas will be a prime location for hot-spots.
The city council has approved a contract with LV.Net to install free Wi-Fi in open areas.
They'll install equipment on street poles and right-of-ways to create the network.
The city said the network will be secure and no personal information will be collected.
The first zone will be between Grand Central, Bonanza, 8th and Charleston.
There's no word yet on when this will all happen.
Also, anyone looking to renew or apply for a business license in Clark County can now do that on the county's website.
