Carpenter 1 fire 80-percent contained, residents going home

Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- It has been more than two weeks since lightning sparked a fire in the Spring Mountains.
The fire, which is still burning, is 80-percent contained.
Residents of Lee Canyon were allowed to return home Monday and residents of Kyle Canyon are hoping to go home Wednesday.
Fire officials are still confidant that they will have the fire fully contained by July 19 and the general public will be allowed back into the area.
The fire has burned 27,881 acres.
