Candidate for new chief health officer withdraws name
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Dr. Thomas Coleman has turned down the job as new chief health officer for the Southern Nevada Health District.
The health district board chose Dr. Coleman last week. The plan was to make his appointment final at the August Board of Health meeting.
According to SNHD, Dr. Coleman has withdrawn his name for consideration because of personal family matters.
The board's chief health officer succession committee is currently scheduled to meet Aug. 15.
