'Bar Rescue' star, Vegas local Jon Taffer releases new book
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The man known for helping struggling bars and restaurants turn their business around has released a new book titled "Raise The Bar."
Las Vegas local Jon Taffer is host of Spike TV's highest-rated program "Bar Rescue."
The new season will debut on Oct. 6 and Taffer will sign copies of his new book during a special event at the Tryst Nightclub from 7:30 to 9 p.m.Oct. 11.
"Bar Rescue" spotlights Taffer as he counsels struggling establishments in every aspect of their business -- from creating profitable drink and food menus, to music and decor, to cost management and human resources.
Taffer is known for his boisterous, no-nonsense and confrontational approach that is intended to shock and push the owners and workers into making drastic changes.
He is helped by a staff of expert chefs, mixologists and other experts in the field.
In his new book, available on bookshelves Oct. 8, Taffer reveals his secrets for running a successful hospitality business.
Taffer has helped bars/restaurants across the United States in Texas, Colorado, California, Arizona, Connecticut, Pennsylvania and several other states.
He has also helped bars in Las Vegas including the longtime favorite Sand Dollar Blues Lounge on Spring Mountain Road; the well-known gay club Gipsy; and The Hammer, which is owned by two classically trained chefs.
