Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Las Vegas police were called to the scene of a shooting that left one person dead.
On Sunday at approximately 8:30 p.m., the LVMPD Dispatch Center received a report that a man had been shot and was lying on the ground near the corner of Walnut Road and Savoy Court.
Patrol officers arrived and located a man who appeared to be suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was transported to UMC Trauma where he was pronounced dead.
The investigation indicated the victim and the suspect came to the area with the intention to fight. When the victim arrived, he was met by the suspect and two other males. The victim and suspect then engaged in a physical altercation.
After the two separated, the suspect retrieved a handgun and fired, striking the victim. The suspects then fled the area in an green four-door sedan.
No suspects have been arrested.
The identity of the victim will be released by the Clark County Coroner's Office.
This is the 75th homicide investigated by the LVMPD in 2014.
