Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A man has been arrested following a fatal stabbing outside Savers in the northwest valley.

On Wednesday at approximately 3:30 p.m., police received a report of a stabbing that occurred in a parking lot located in the 3100 block of Rancho Drive.

The victim was located and appeared to be suffering from an apparent puncture wound to the chest. He was transported to the UMC Trauma Center where he later died from his injuries.

Witnesses at the scene were able to provide a physical description of the suspect. A male matching the description was observed boarding a CAT bus in the immediate area.

Officers conducted a vehicle stop and took custody of the suspect who was later identified as 24-year-old Cody Bradbury.

A preliminary investigation revealed that Bradbury and the victim had been involved in a verbal argument prior the stabbing. As a result, Bradbury was arrested for open murder and transported to the Clark County Detention Center.

This was the 31st homicide in Las Vegas in 2014.

The Clark County Coroner's Office has identified the victim as 52-year-old Bruce Charles Reid of North Las Vegas.
