Animal Foundation in need of local volunteers

By Krista Hostetler. CREATED Jan 6, 2014

Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Are you looking for a New Year's Resolution? What about helping pets that don't have homes?

The Animal Foundation needs volunteers.

The non-profit takes in more than 40,000 lost, unwanted and abandoned animals every year.

It's looking for local residents to get involved with its foster and volunteer programs.

And it's not just adults who can participate, so can children. Kids ages 12 to 16 can volunteer with a parent and kids older than 16 can volunteer if a parent signs a release form.

To begin volunteering, you must attend an information orientation. The next one is scheduled for Jan. 11 from 11:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. at the Clark County Library at 1401 East Flamingo Road in Las Vegas.
