New York (KTNV) -- Five alleged mobsters are behind bars in connection with a decades-old murder and a $6 million heist.
They were arrested Thursday morning by federal agents near New York.
The alleged mobsters are being charged with murder, attempted murder, extortion and bookmaking.
Prosecutors said they are tied to the Lufthansa heist, which was the center of the Martin Scorsese classic "Goodfellas."
The FBI said they found human remains in the backyard of the man thought to be mastermind of the robbery, James "Jimmy the Gent" Burke, portrayed by Robert De Niro in "Goodfellas."
Burke is believed to have murdered Paul Katz because mobsters thought he was a rat.
Only one person has been convicted in the 1978 Lufthansa robbery and only a fraction of the stolen money was recovered.
