Air quality advisory issued for Thursday through Saturday
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- An air quality advisory has been issued for Thursday through Saturday afternoon because of high winds.
The advisory was issued by the Clark County Department of Air Quality. At this time, unhealthy levels are not occurring. If that changes, an alert will be posted on their website.
Airborne dust is a form of inhalable air pollution called particulate matter. It can aggravate respiratory diseases such as bronchitis and asthma. It may be best for children, the elderly and people with respiratory diseases to stay indoors when it is windy outside.
Residents are encouraged to call the dust complaint hotline at 702-385-DUST to report excessive amounts of dust blowing.
