9/11 remembered through social media
Fans remembered the anniversary of 9/11 prior to the start of a game between the Minnesota Vikings and the San Diego Chargers at Qualcomm Stadium on September 11, 2011 in San Diego, Calif.
Much like in recent years past, people all over the country are paying their respects for 9/11 in a positive way: through social media.
The top seven "Trends" on Twitter are related to the day in history, including "#september11," "#Neverforget," "#wherewereyou," "alwaysremember," "remember911," "WTC" and "God Bless the USA."
The story is no different on Facebook. Some people are even changing their profile pics and cover photos. Do a quick Google image search to find various shapes an sizes. There are also numerous Facebook pages entirely devoted to remembering 9/11 with information about ceremonies and the like.
This is the 12th anniversary of the terrorist attacks and people continue to remember the day through photos, videos and memories.
