Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A 23-year-old man from North Las Vegas is missing at Lake Mohave in the Lake Mead National Recreation Area.
According to the National Park Service, he was last seen in the water about a mile north of Cottonwood Cove on Sunday.
The missing man was reported at about 3:35 p.m. Witnesses said the man and two others jumped off a boat to go swimming and the boat drifted away.
Passengers on the boat were able to rescue two of the swimmers but the 23-year-old man could not be found.
A search was conducted until about 8:30 p.m.
Search efforts resumed at 8:30 a.m. Monday morning.
About 15 people from the National Park Service, Nevada Department of Wildlife, and the search and rescue team from Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department are searching the area using sonar and divers.
The area the man was last seen is approximately 50 to 60 feet deep.
