Las Vegas police called to fatal crash near Miller and Sahara

Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Las Vegas police were called to the scene of a fatal crash Wednesday afternoon.
It happened around 3:15 p.m. at the intersection of South Miller Lane and West Sahara Avenue, near Buffalo Drive.
Police said a 2006 Honda Civic was traveling westbound on Sahara in the left turn lane to southbound Miller.
A 2009 Yamaha, driven by a 19-year-old from Las Vegas, was traveling eastbound on Sahara.
As the Yamaha approached Miller, the Honda turned left. The motorcycle veered into the outside travel lane, where it struck the right side of the Honda.
The motorcycle operator was ejected and transported to UMC Trauma, where he was pronounced dead at the scene.
His name has not been released.
Sahara was closed in both directions at the intersection while crews investigated.
