Henderson, NV (KTNV) -- Henderson police arrested a young man accused of exposing himself, who may be tied to other such crimes in the area.
The police department is asking for the public's assistance to determine whether the 18-year-old may have committed other similar crimes recently in Henderson.
Franke J. Saunders of Henderson is being held on numerous counts of open and gross lewdness. He was arrested Thursday night at his parents' home.
On Sept. 20, Henderson police were called to 1899 Seven Hills Drive, Puccini Park, after two women reportedly saw a naked man committing lewd acts in the bushes.
Police were able to gather evidence and identity the suspect as Saunders, who lives near the park. When he was taken into custody, he admitted streaking through the park and other places when no one was around.
"He claimed that he had run through the park or skateboarded through the park numerous times when there was no one else around," said Henderson Police Spokesperson Keith Paul.
One park goer and parent told Action News, "It's disturbing. You don't ever want to think that this is going on in your neighborhood and you want it to be safe for your kids and family and friends."
A Henderson man who doesn't want his name used but identifies himself as Saunders' adoptive father said the 18-year-old is engaged to be married. His fiance denied Action News' request for an interview.
According to Henderson authorities, Saunders indicated he had committed other acts of indecent exposure and behavior but would not go into detail.
Detectives are asking anyone who may have witnessed such crimes involving the suspect to please contact police.
Anyone with information on this case is urged to call Henderson police at (702) 267-4750 or Crime Stoppers at (702) 385-5555.
