Coroner identifies pedestrian killed early Sunday morning

Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The Clark County coroner has identified the man killed early Sunday morning near Las Vegas Boulevard and Tropicana Avenue as 48-year-old Soheil Nasiri from Carlsbad, Calif.
Nasiri was attempting to cross Tropicana Avenue outside of a marked crosswalk near Ocean Drive.
Nasiri was first hit by a 2012 Ford Escape driven by a 24-year-old man from Las Vegas. A second car driven by a 40-year-old man from Las Vegas also hit Nasiri.
The pedestrian was transported to University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
Nasiri's death was the 76th traffic-related fatality in Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department's jurisdiction this year.
The incident remains under investigation.
