LOS ANGELES -- Latina bombshell and "Modern Family" co-star Sofia Vergara celebrated the ABC series' Emmy win for Outstanding Comedy Series Sunday night at an after-party where cameras captured the curvy brunette cutting loose on the dance floor and hanging out with friends. The South American-born Vergara posted a photo of herself on her WhoSay page with a caption that read: "Miley cyrus this is where the twerk was invented. Colombia!"
In another photo from the same event, Vergara is pictured eating a burger, with a caption reading: "Jimmy Fallons party favors." The 41-year-old has been nominated for four Emmys for her role as Gloria Pritchett and since 2010, "Modern Family" has won four consecutive Emmys for Outstanding Comedy Series.
Not surprisingly, twerking was on the minds of Emmy Awards show performers, with Amy Poehler and Tina Fey (in 3D glasses for some unknown reason) attempting to entice host Neil Patrick Harris to "Take your pants off" and "Twerk it." He did neither. The Emmy telecast, according to the Los Angeles Times, posted the show's best ratings since 2007, with 17.6 million people tuning in.
