It's been a while since a good old-fashioned Twitter feud between celebrities has erupted, but it looks as though there's one in the making -- and this one comes with some "extra sauce," courtesy of Adam Levine and Lady Gaga.
US Weekly reports that on Friday "The Voice" coach sent out a tweet that cryptically read, "Ugh ... recycling old art for a younger generation doesn't make you an artist. It makes you an art teacher."
The Maroon 5 singer added, "I unabashedly love writing and performing pop music for both myself AND everyone around me. That's It. It doesn't need any extra sauce."
While he doesn't appear to be directing the tweet at anyone specifically, the next day, Gaga sent out her own tweet which seemed to be a response to Levine's, writing, "Uh oh guys the art police is here."
Naturally, it didn't take long for his Twitter followers (and Gaga's) to weigh in, including many in defense of art educators. One sarcastic response to Levine's tweet read, "Always remember to sh-- on ART TEACHERS whenever the opportunity presents itself."
