Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Britney Spears revealed the details of her new show at Planet Hollywood on the Las Vegas Strip from the middle of the desert early Tuesday morning.
"Britney: Piece of Me" is described as a celebration of one of the most illustrious careers in music history. The show will feature 20 smash hits along with new material from Britney's highly-anticipated eighth studio album.
The annouoncement was made just days after the 31-year-old singer released her new single "Work Bitch." Listen to it here.
The theater at Planet Hollywood has been reconstructed for the show and will feature the world's largest indoor immersive projection theater.
There will be a total of 50 alternating weekend concerts over a period of two years.
The first show will take place on Dec. 27. Tickets will go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. on Sept. 20 and will range from $66.50 to $194, including taxes and fees.
ABC's "Good Morning America" was at the announcement Tuesday morning and will feature an exclusive interview with Britney Tuesday morning.
More than 1,300 fans were at the announcement, some of them dressed like schoolgirls from Britney's "Baby One More Time" music video.
