Suspect wanted for allegedly attacking woman in her home

Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Las Vegas police are searching for a suspect they said attempted to rob a woman in her own home.

On Tuesday just before 8:30 a.m., an attempted robbery occurred in the area of Pecos and Stewart.

Police said the victim was in her home when she was approached from behind by the suspect. He allegedly grabbed her by the arms and demanded money.

The victim struggled with the suspect and was able to escape. The suspect then grabbed the victim again placing his hand over her mouth.

Police said the victim bit the suspect's hand and was able to get away to a neighbor's home and call police.

The suspect is described as a white male, 50-60 years old, 5'5" and 190 pounds with blue eyes, gray hair, pock marks on his face and a pot belly.

He was driving a two-door, extended cab, white pickup truck, possibly a Ford.
