Zappos opens new headquarters in downtown Las Vegas
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Monday was a big day for Zappos.com and downtown Las Vegas.
The company moved from Henderson to its new headquarters in the old city hall building.
The building was completely gutted and renovated.
Hundreds of Zappos employees will occupy the space.
They said they are excited about the new location, but also for the contribution it will make to downtown Las Vegas.
"Being part of the downtown revitalization, it's something that whoever has the opportunity to be part of something so big, I think it's something that Las Vegas has been waiting for," said Dana Zumbo, Zappos employee.
The official ribbon cutting is being held Monday evening.
Attendees will receive a small ribbon and a pair of scissors and everyone will take part in the ribbon cutting ceremony together.
