Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- 32-year-old Troy Martinez has been arrested for murder.
Police officers were dispatched to a residence on Amolita Avenue, near East Wigwam Avenue and the Las Vegas beltway, at about 11:30 p.m. Thursday night.
Upon arrival, they encountered a man, later identified as Martinez, in front of the house with a gun.
Martinez retreated inside the home but quickly came back out and surrendered.
Police officers found a woman inside the house with two small children. They also found an adult male on the floor of the master bedroom who had been shot.
Medical personnel pronounced the man dead at the scene.
According to a preliminary investigation, the victim was visiting Martinez at his home when the two began arguing. Investigators believe that Martinez shot the man.
The Clark County coroner will release the name of the deceased after relatives have been notified.
