Motorcyclist dies after crash while traveling at extreme speeds

Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A 30-year-old motorcyclist has died after crashing in Las Vegas.
According to witnesses, the motorcyclist was traveling eastbound on Tropicana Avenue near Paradise Road at a high rate of speed.
He was observed weaving in and out of traffic on his 2011 Suzuki GSX-R.
For an unknown reason, he crashed into a Toyota 4Runner that was stopped for a red light. The motorcyclist was thrown from the bike and the bike then hit the rear of a 2011 Lincoln Town Car.
The drivers of the Toyota and Lincoln were not injured but the motorcyclist was transported to Sunrise Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
He was later pronounced dead at Sunrise by attending medical personnel.
The Clark County coroner will release the man's name after his relatives have been notified.
This was the 65th traffic-related fatality in Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department's jurisdiction this year.
The collision is still under investigation.
