Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A 73-year-old man was killed on Tuesday afternoon while riding his 2005 Suzuki scooter.
The collision happened at about 1:50 p.m.
According to Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the man was traveling westbound on Charleston Boulevard when he collided with a Kia Sorento at the intersection of Charleston and Durango Drive.
The Kia, which was traveling eastbound, turned left in front of the scooter.
The man was thrown from the scooter. He was tranpsorted to University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead by attending medical personnel.
The collision is still under investigation by LVMPD.
The man's death was the 64th traffic-related fatality in LVMPD's jurisdiction this year.
The Clark County coroner will release the man's name after relatives have been notified.
