Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Las Vegas police received numerous calls on Thursday evening, indicating a man was randomly stabbing people near the intersection of Harmon Avenue and Koval Lane.
Arriving officers and medical personnel located four individuals who had been attacked by the suspect. All four were transported to UMC for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
At approximately 11:30 p.m., police located the suspect identified as 53-year-old Lee Sanford of Las Vegas, inside a fast food restaurant at the intersection of Harmon and Las Vegas Boulevard.
Sanford, who was holding a large knife, followed the officer's instructions to drop the weapon and was taken into custody without incident.
Following treatment for a minor laceration to his hand by on-scene medial personnel, Sanford was transported to the Clark County Detention Center where he was booked on four counts of battery with a deadly weapon.
The investigation into this incident is ongoing.
At this time, it appears there was no prior association between Sanford and his victims. The attacks were random.
