Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A vacant house was heavily damaged by fire early Thursday morning.
Firefighters were dispatched at 2:29 a.m. to the house at 328 N. 16th St. Upon arrival, heavy flames were starting to burn through the roof of the one-story house.
It took firefighters about 15 minutes to being the fire under control. Their main concern was to prevent the fire from spreading to a three-unit apartment building that was very close to the house.
The cause of the fire is undetermined. Neighbors say that the house, which was located next to a U.S. Highway 95 overpass, was often used by homeless people.
The fire completely destroyed the interior of the house.
There were no injuries and no one was displaced by the fire.
