Woman arrested for alleged DUI after hitting pedestrian
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A pedestrian was taken to the hospital after being struck by a vehicle early Wednesday morning.
It happened around 1:40 a.m. at 200 West Boston Avenue.
Police said a 1999 Dodge Durango was traveling south on Fairfield Avenue when the driver, 44-year-old Carla Yadon from Las Vegas, failed to negotiate a curve in the road.
The Dodge crossed the center line and drove off the left side of the road. The woman attempted to regain control of the vehicle and traveled into the parking lot of a convenience store.
The front of the Dodge struck a pedestrian, 40-year-old Ambrocio Munoz of Las Vegas. He was taken into the hospital in serious condition.
Yadon was arrested and booked into the Clark County Detention Center for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and reckless driving.
