Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A car wash fundraiser was held on Sunday for the victim of a recent car crash.

43-year-old David Taulua of Henderson died on June 30.

His family and friends put on the fundraiser to raise money for his funeral expenses. It was held at the 7-Eleven on Windmill Lane.

The crash happened on Sahara near Sloan.

David died when the car he was riding in, slammed into a parked security truck.

It's still unclear why the driver lost control and crashed.
