Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Clark County fire officials, the American Red Cross and the Great Basin Incident Management Team provided an update to the media on the wildfire.
Centennial High School has been set up as a command post for the incident management team, which is where the briefing happened on Sunday.
15-percent of the fire in the Spring Mountains has now been contained, which is an improvement from zero earlier in the week.
Crews have projected July 19 as the date they hope to have the fire fully contained.
As of Sunday evening, more than 14,000 acres of land were still burning.
Crews said the rain on Sunday wasn't enough to help firefighters battling the wildfire.
More than 500 structures are being threatened.
